Maintenance Officer

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • SC/ HSC.
  • Professional qualification in Electrical and Building Maintenance will be an advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical, plumbing.
  • 3-5 years’ experience as Technician
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly responsible and reliable; · Fit and capable of heavy work.
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism.

Main duties:

  • Supervise technicians, watchman, cleaner, tea lady and handyman.
  • Prepare roster and work schedule of subordinates.
  • Inspect buildings and equipment to identify any issues.
  • Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Plan and schedule repairs.
  • Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.).
  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget.
  • Participate and coordinate projects (e.g., renovations of the building).
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations, and
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
